Is CBD psychoactive?

No, don’t worry! Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive and any THC residues from the processing of hemp are present at a negligible level, so won’t have a psychoactive effect.

Is CBD legal in the Ireland?

CBD is legal in the Ireland and European union, however, there are laws around products meeting certain criteria if it is used for human consumption. There will be many CBD products on the high street that aren’t properly authorised and may not be safe to use, so when looking at buying products, go to trusted websites, pharmacies or stores like XMANIA.

For CBD products to be legal in the Ireland they must not contain more than 0.2%. THC is what is present in the cannabis plant that can make you high. CBD products should have very small traces of THC, if any, in order to be legal.

Is CBD safe to use?

Yes, we wouldn’t sell something that is likely to cause you harm. The World Health Organisation’s 2018 Critical Review Report on CBD states that CBD is generally well tolerated with a good safety profile. All of our products are below the maximum dose recommended.

CBD is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18.

If someone is pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any medications or under medical supervision, they should consult a doctor or healthcare professional before use.
